Lady Blue Devils struggling

Columbus High has hit a rough patch during the last week, losing a pair of Region 2-AAA games.

The Lady Blue Devils lost 64-46 to Carver on Tuesday and lost 64-42 on Friday night to Northside.

Columbus is going to have to regroup, if it's going to make the playoffs this season.

The Blue Devils are going to have to do it without point guard Melissa Wallace. She suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in the first half against Carver, according to Columbus coach Candace Turner.

Wallace will miss the rest of the season. And the Blue Devils are going to miss her ball-handling ability.
