Carver's Fortson cracks Top 10

Carver wide receiver Jarmon Fortson is ranked the sixth-best prospect in the state according to Rivals.com's final rankings.

Fortson was ranked No. 38 before the final rankings were released late Monday evening. The 6-foot-3, 220 pounder helped lead the Tigers to a perfect season and their first state title.

Fortson has verbally committed to Auburn, but he took an official visit to Florida State this past weekend.

The only players ranked ahead of Fortson are: Buford's Omar Hunter (committed to Florida), Cass' Richard Samuel (Georgia), Statesboro's DeAngelo Tyson (Georgia), Jefferson County's A.J. Harmon (Georgia) and Cedar Grove's Josh Jarboe (Oklahoma).
