The Class AAA Region 2, Area 2 tournament has moved up a day to allow the coaches to scout opposing teams, Glenwood boys coach Dusty Perdue said.
The basketball tournament was originally scheduled for next Friday and Saturday. But it has been moved to Thursday and Friday. The finals will be played on Friday.
Two teams will advance to the Class AAA AISA state playoffs. The regular-season champion earns an automatic bid. The playoffs begin in two weeks.
The Glenwood boys secured the area title with a 70-48 victory against Macon-East on Friday night.
If the Lady Gators knock off Pike on Tuesday, Glenwood will host the area tournament.
